Dr. Florek, you are the president of the German Society for Endovascular and Vascular Surgery(GSEVS), can you give us a few facts about your society?
Our society was established in 1984 now and we are in the 24th year of our existence. Over the entire time we have grown into a huge society with more than 1400 members. Our development was not a all easy. At the beginning there was a lot of resistance, however, we demonstrated persistence and that vascular surgery is a unique and complex part of surgery. We also showed that endovascular methods are only suitable for specialists.
Course-Director Dr.Cees Wittens (Rotterdam) has put together a great program with his colleagues for all those interested in innovative surgical concepts for treatment of venous diseases.
